Empire Wall Heaters

Once just a small sheet metal shop in Belleville, Illinois, is now Empire Comfort Systems. Henry Bauer operated a sheet metal shop beginning in 1911, until formally incorporating Empire Stove Company on August 26, 1932, to produce sheet metal heaters utilizing the booming natural gas industry. Empire Stove Company, and Mr. Bauer have survived much of America’s storied past, maintaining operation through The Great Depression and other periods of economic turmoil, World Wars I & II, the Korean and Vietnam wars, today’s modern military imbroglio, labor strife of the early 1900’s, and even fires. Successfully weathering these hardships, Empire Comfort Systems and four generations of the Bauer family, including Nick and Jane Bauer today, still own and operate the business in the United States.
