Now you can have mouth-watering delicious turkey feasts all year round with this stainless steel fryer. It uses up to one-third less oil than a conventional fryer for a healthier and safe, but just as delicious turkey. It is capable of holding up to a 20 pound turkey in a turkey-shaped frying chamber. Due to this molded chamber, you get an exceptionally small unit that can cook an exceptionally large bird. This modern fryer is thermostatically controlled and has a built-in timer so it knows how long you would like it to cook. The features on this unit present a much safer alternative to a deep fryer. It is electric with a folding lid and is safe enough to keep on your kitchen counter, as opposed to gallons of boiling hot oil. The folding lid also keeps the oil scent inside the unit and out of the kitchen. It comes with a specially designed cooking basket with handle and drain hook to make removing the turkey from the hot oil both simple and safe. Best of all, when you are finished frying your turkey, cleanup is made simple with a drain valve for the oil. Further, the removable porcelain-covered pot is dishwasher safe. You can also use this unit to fry doughnuts, fruit turnovers, chicken, fish and Cornish game hen. It can steam or boil six to eight pounds of crab legs.

Comment: I have fried turkeys for several years and many ways. I have used the propane type fryers for several years. I tried an infrared fryer and now the Masterbuilt Indoor turkey fryer. The propane always made me nervous as I fry at Christmas time and am usually in my garage. I have a very high ceiling so I was not too worried about flare ups but I always made sure the fire was out when the turkey was being transferred. The Masterbuilt fryer takes the worry out of flare ups transferring the turkey. The electric heating element is in the less than 3 gallons of oil you need to fry an 18 pound turkey (thats what I fried). Therefore you have no need to worry about hot oil coming in contact with an open flame. I also used this in the garage at Christmas time (I live in North West Indiana) and the oil only took an additional 10 15 minutes to heat up. The turkey cooked perfectly brown and done in just 10 minutes more than recommended checked with a thermometer. Just dial in the temperature you want the oil and watch the time and check the internal temperature of the turkey. I am very satisfied with this product and recommend it to anyone interested.

Comment: Its good but not great. The capacity needs to be a little larger and the heating element needs to be a bit stronger. After lowering a 12lb turkey into the 375 degree grease the grease temp dropped to 250 and never made it back to 300 before the turkey was done. That said it was probably the most tender and moist turkey I ever had. Some areas tasted a bit greasy probably due to the temp drop.
Comment: I highly recommend this fryer. Ive now made 3 turkeys with this machine. All 3 turkeys were moist and very flavorful. I will never roast a turkey in my oven again! One suggestion: Make sure that the amount of oil is correct for the size turkey you make. If you have too much it will be greasy too little and it wont be moist. A good way to measure the correct amount place the turkey in the fryer and fill with water to cover. Then remove and measure the amount of water you use. Replace with the same amount of oil. There is no need to brine with this machine. My first turkey was brined (dried completely before frying). When I made the 2nd turkey I didnt have time to brine. It came out just as moist as the first one.

did the gas ones. its easym to clean up. There are a lot of other things you can use it for. I eat a lot of turkey on my diet. This way it a lot cheaper than buying it out of the deli. We fry at least 3 turkeys at a time. Let everyone kn ow this is the best way to go.Judy Criddle

Comment: total junk. bought it from costco for 129. takes 1 hour to heat up to max fill line. put in 20lb turkey and temp never made it back to 350. greasy as hell. flimsy top and poor construction. the only thing it will do is fry a couple pieces of fish and chicken. i would not waste my time even trying to put a whole chicken in here. the heating element needs to be mor stout
